Hello and a warm welcome to the new Somersham Carnival Website. You will find the latest news, details of some of the exciting events and photos of this special event that has been running since 1977.
Each year Carnival takes a theme to bring joy and entertainment to the community. In June 2023 our theme is Dancing In the Park, so dance to the rhythm and show off your moves – It doesn’t matter what you wear, just as long as you are there! Carnival day itself attracts thousands of people and you’ll find local stalls, live music and activities for all ages.
Carnival Week includes a wide variety of events so there is sure to be something that interests everyone – classic cars, crafts, sport events.
I lived in Somersham for 28 years, and my first involvement was participating in the float parade and entering the children’s Fancy Dress competition! Now I’m proud to be running the website and also promoting the festival on all social media platforms.
